Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to save on your device. When you return to the same site — or move between pages during a visit — your browser sends those files back, which lets the site remember a preference, keep a session open or count a return visit.

Cookies are not programs, cannot read other files on your device and cannot do anything your browser does not permit. What they can do is link a sequence of page views back to the same browser, which is why they sit at the heart of most online tracking.

This site uses a small, mostly functional set. The notice below describes which cookies we set, which ones are set by partners through our pages, and how long each one lives.

How to manage

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Every modern browser lets you refuse all cookies, refuse only third-party cookies or delete cookies that are already stored. The exact path depends on the browser.

In Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge the controls sit under Settings and Privacy. Mobile browsers offer a reduced version of the same options. Blocking all cookies may break features on other sites — for example, keeping you signed in — but will not stop this site from loading.

You can also use browser-level tracking protection or an extension that blocks third-party trackers. If you clear cookies after a visit, nothing we have set will persist.

Which we use

We use a small number of cookies, grouped by purpose. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working — remembering a consent choice, carrying a visit from page to page. Preference cookies remember minor interface choices such as a theme setting. Analytics cookies, when enabled, count visits and route anonymised data to the analytics provider.

We do not use advertising cookies on our own domain. When you click an affiliate link to Win Aud, you leave our site and the destination may set its own cookies to attribute the referral and to run its service.

Analytics

If analytics is enabled on the site, an anonymised cookie is used to count unique visits and to understand which pages are read most. The data is aggregated: we see that a page received a certain number of visits in a week, not who those visitors were.

Analytics data is not combined with any identifying information from the contact form. IP addresses are truncated before storage. If you prefer not to be counted, blocking third-party cookies or using a tracker-blocking extension removes your visit from the analytics stream.

Affiliate cookies

When you click a link from our site through to Win Aud, the destination tags the visit with its own cookie so that if you later open an account, the signup is attributed back to us. This is the mechanism by which the affiliate relationship works.

The affiliate cookie is set by the destination site, not by ours, and is subject to the destination's privacy terms. Clearing cookies before signing up removes the attribution without affecting your account.

Retention

Session cookies live only until you close your browser. Preference and consent cookies are typically kept for six to twelve months, after which the browser will prompt again if the setting is still relevant. Analytics cookies, where used, follow the retention policy of the analytics provider — commonly between 14 months and two years, unless you clear them sooner.

You can shorten any of these retention periods by clearing cookies on your own schedule, or by configuring your browser to delete cookies when it is closed.
